Airports are extremely busy places where basic amenities are an incredibly important operational necessity.
The seamless delivery of 13 amenity blocks during curfew hours meant no disruption to Sydney International Airport terminal operations and its 30,000 passengers per day.
The Solution
EDT delivered the refurbishment of 13 individual amenity blocks across the Sydney International Airport terminal without disruption to airport operations.
Working only during curfew hours, EDT’s program management was exceptional. Over the eight week construction period the amenity blocks were never closed, they were cleaned each morning at 5am and ready to use by some of the airport’s 30,000 customers each day.
The refurbishment included building works associated with the replacement of all the tapware, installation of new hand dryers and sensors to all cisterns and tile replacement to all amenity blocks within the terminal.
Engagement with both airport operations, key retail tenants and the management of all subcontractors within the small confines was critical to the successful delivery of this project for Sydney International Airport.
