A much needed headquarters for the maintenance division of The King’s School’s Parramatta campus was completed in 2022.
With 320 acres of open space and bushland, classrooms, offices, boarding houses, sporting facilities, theatre and science block, the Maintenance Division is a very busy part of the well oiled machine that is The King’s School. The team was in need of a new, suitably built facility housing a workshop space and offices.
The works included the relocation of existing demountable buildings and site clearing. Earthwork was completed as a cut and fill exercise to enable the designed raft slab to be completed.
Structural steel shop drawings were coordinated and completed by EDT without delay to the critical path of the project.
EDT coordinated and provided quality outcomes for the client when providing the waterproofing details between the various facade and cladding elements which were managed hand-in-hand.
EDT also provided significant value-add outcomes for the client by determining alternative infrastructure routes for the incoming services.
The new road and associated stormwater works all occurred in this live environment without impact to staff, students and stakeholders.
