Spirited locals and the flamboyant Paddington crowd are revelling in the refurbished Fringe Bar at the Unicorn Hotel. The swanky front bar was seamlessly transformed while the Unicorn Hotel continued to trade.
The Solution
EDT took the refurbishment and fitout of this heritage listed property in its stride. The works required significant engineering solutions within the aging structure to ensure its integrity was maintained.
Access across multiple fully occupied levels was required to carry out both structural and services upgrades. The development of innovative construction techniques, and all-encompassing programming ensured a cost effective result, and the quiet enjoyment of the occupants and guests.
The refurbishment of the facilities was delivered together with the integrated fitout of the retro Fringe Bar and the addition of a basement kitchen and entertaining level. Intensive design management was required to balance aspects of the aging building, new structural alterations and tight fitting tolerances to ensure a high quality outcome for the client.
